Perjury Indictments – Mr. Bachner represented former New York City Police Commissioner, Bernard Kerik against false statement and perjury indictments.

Deutsche Bank/KPMG – Mr. Bachner’s firm represented a former Deutsche Bank employee in connection with this investigation. Mr. Bachner convinced prosecutors not to bring criminal charges.

Stock Loan Investigation – Mr. Bachner represents the target of an industry wide investigation into the conduct of various stock loan departments.

People v. Monroe Parker Securities – After a four month trial, Mr. Bachner’s client was acquitted of all charges related to a $25,000,000 securities fraud. Wall Street Journal, Jan. 13, 2000.

People v. Meyers Pollock and Robbins – Mr. Bachner’s client was successfully defended against charges of Enterprise Corruption in connection with his employment at a corrupt brokerage firm.

Stock Fraud – After an FBI sting operation netted 45 arrests for stock fraud, Mr. Bachner succeeded in having all charges against his client dismissed prior to an indictment even being filed. Wall Street Journal November 14, 1996.

Insider Trading – Mr. Bachner has defended numerous persons charged with insider trading. His cases related to, among other things, Refco, Business Week leaks and information leaked from major law firms.

Music And Entertainment Industry Representation

Antonio Pierce – Michael Bachner represented NY Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce in a case involving teammate Plaxico Burress and charges of criminal possession of a weapon. No charges were brought.

Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs – In the case of People v. Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, Mr. Bachner’s client was acquitted of all charges. NY Times, March 17, 2001.

Robert Iler – Mr. Bachner represented Robert Iler (A.J. Soprano) in connection with criminal charges in New York County. Read the Newsday story here.

Tu Pac Shakur – Mr. Bachner has represented numerous persons in the rap and hip hop industry, both in the criminal and civil arenas, including civil matters relating to Tu Pac Shakur and other notable persons.

United States v. Kimberly Jones (a/k/a L’ll Kim.”) – Mr. Bachner represented a business manager in the case of United States v. Kimberly Jones (a/k/a L’ll Kim.”)

Michael Jackson Case – Mr. Bachner represented an associate of Michael Jackson, alleged to be an un-indicted co-conspirator in connection with molestation charges brought against Jackson. No criminal charges were brought against Mr. Bachner’s client.
